Broad Creek Bike and Brew

The Laurel Public Library will host a Block Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10. The event is free and will feature the Laurel High School Steel Drum Band, health screenings, DJ Randy P ("The Positive One") and a special presentation to the Laurel Police, Fire and Rescue Units. The library is located at 101 E. 4th St.

Watermelon Bus Painting
Our second annual painting of an iconic watermelon bus will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at Roger Fisher Park. Details to come. This year there will be two buses available for volunteers to paint. Artist John Donato will once again be overseeing the painting. You can watch this video from last year's very successful event:
