The dedication and sale of two fully rehabilitated Sussex County Habitat for Humanity homes will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 21. The public is invited to gather at the corner of Market and Oak streets.
Funding for the rehabilitation of these two homes was provided by a $500,000 Strong Neighborhoods Grant awarded by the Delaware State Housing Authority to the Laurel Redevelopment Corporation (LRC) working in partnership with the Town of Laurel, Milford Housing Development Corporation, NCALL, and Sussex County Habitat. The Strong Neighborhoods project in Laurel’s Old Town section will help create more owner-occupied homes within Laurel’s Downtown Development District. Milford Housing Development Corporation plans to build four new homes in the neighborhood, and Habitat will purchase and rehabilitate six homes.
